Techniques:

  • ¾ perspective drawing.
  • technique of reverse value drawing.
  • monochromatic expressive color
  • creative line work to create form and texture.
  • create a mystical effect with metallics.

Materials:
  • 1 sheet of black paper or black construction paper 9” x 9” inches ~ square format
  • 1 smaller sheet of black paper for practicing techniques
  • blue marker(s) medium / dark (water soluble)
  • black permanent marker (Sharpie)
  • colored pencils ~ white, light blue, metallic silver, metallic bronze or metallic gold or combination of ( I used Prismacolor – works the best)
  • pencils
  • erasers
  • white charcoal pencils or white conté drawing pencil
  • blending stick or students may use finger to blur background (sky)
